Pros: service is ok. They have a few beers on tap which is good.

Cons: the place stinks like an open sewer. My apetite did not last long enough to order food so I can't comment on that.

Why can't they have the carpets cleaned and get some ventilation happening. This place smell like a baby's diaper with Indian food in it... Yuk!

The best restaurant in Toronto to me. You should go and try there food for reasonable prices.

I know what happend and there was suppose to be 2 waiters but the second waiter had a persional situation. One person insisted to help so they allowed him. The food looked good when it came to the person. When the person insisted why does thatr person have to write a bad review. One person wouldn`t even pay so why does this person have to say this. The spotted dick is a good place but with one incident there is no point of avoiding the pub. I went there before and they gave good service and especially good food.

We recently hosted a brunch reception and had the misfortune of arranging it at the Spotted Dick 81 Bloor Street Toronto. Wanting a casual brunch experience, we thought it’s venue and central location would be perfect to accommodate our needs. We confirmed a booking for 20 people a few days prior and they assured us they would have no difficulties. When we arrived the pub was almost empty, but to our disbelief, despite a pre-arranging a booking, there was only one waitress on staff who was completely overwhelmed. As some of our guests were only had 1 ½ hours as they had to travel to travel to the airport, we offered to assist her by serving water, drinks and coffee that we had to brew ourselves. As our guests were growing hungry and impatient, we brought the meals from the kitchen as they were prepared and ensured condiments etc were available.
