ParkingVery disappointing. Went there for a beer-loving friend's 30th birthday. Shortly after paying our considerable bill, our drinks were yanked from our hands by the bartender. With absolutely no warning, he gave us an ultimatum: either chug the remainder or surrender the drinks immediately. Chug our drinks? What is this, some dodgy university bar?? He even yanked the drink from the birthday girl's hand while spilling it all over her. Tempers flared. The manager attempted a pathetic apology. It's sad to see Mill Street, who brew some great beers, manage their brew pub so poorly. We left in disgust and won't be returning.
A huge disappointment during what should be a happy occasion.
Mill Street started life as a microbrewery in the old Gooderham & Worts distillery complex but soon demand exceeded capacity, now the site has metamorphized into a first rate brewpub with IPA, ESB, Helles Bock, Stout etc in addition to the familiar Mill St. Tankhouse Ale, Stock Ale & Organic Beer. The food is well made reasonably priced pub fare. Reproductions of bygone Toronto breweries grace the walls. A excellent place to misspend time. Multi-generational. Can be very busy.
